Jaguar Will Introduce Classic Vehicles with Electric Engines! Jaguar announced that the Jaguar Classic division will offer all-electric E-types after such a positive response to the Jaguar I-Pace. The tailor-made E-types will be restored and converted to electric power at the Classic Works facility while current E-type owners have the option to convert their E-type to an electric engine. This conversion will be fully reversible, should the owner want to go back to the more authentic drive of the traditional model. Jaguar is currently taking interest forms and expects the first vehicles to begin arriving to owners in the summer of 2020.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to the Jaguar E-type Zero concept. Future-proofing the enjoyment of classic car ownership is a major stepping stone for Jaguar Classic. “E-type Zero showcases the incredible heritage of the E-type, and the expertise and craftsmanship at Classic Works, while demonstrating Jaguar Land Rover’s dedication to creating zero emission vehicles across every part of the business, including Jaguar Classic.” – Tim Hannig, Jaguar Land Rover Classic Director

All EV E-Types will maintain amazing performance and quick acceleration with a targeting range in excess of 170 miles. The model will be powered by a 40kWh battery which can be fully charged in 6-7 hours, perfect for charging overnight. Other modifications include an updated fascia showcasing the latest touchscreen infotainment (which will be available as an option) and efficient LED headlights.
