Jaguar Land Rover Brings Classics to North America! Recently JLR expanded their classics division to Germany to better serve the European market, but now the British automaker is expanding its classics division to the United States. JLR has tapped Savannah, Georgia for its first facility outside of Europe and plans to open it in the summer of 2019. Savannah is home to the largest container terminal in North America, making it the perfect location for the JLR classics facility. Construction will begin this fall.

The new 75,000 square feet location will create more than 75 full time jobs and will serve as a location for refurbishing/restoration, sales, and servicing of classic models. There will be 42 bay areas that are capable of providing the full range of services for vehicles that have been out of production for ten or more years including health-checks to full restorations. There will also be a showroom that will showcase a selection of pre-owned Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works Legends for sale.

“Creating a dedicated facility in the US – one of the largest markets for classic car enthusiasts – is an important and exciting step for Jaguar Land Rover Classic. We’re delighted to bring the future-proofing classic expertise and support we’ve nurtured in the UK direct to US clients. The Savannah site is the perfect location for us: a charming setting combining a passionate community and excellent transport links that will make it easier for US clients to benefit from the authentic services and expertise Jaguar Land Rover Classic provides.” – Tim Hannig, Jaguar Land Rover Classic Director
