Jaguar Creates Art with F-Type SVR Exhaust Note! According to reporting from Motor Authority, Jaguar’s F-Type SVR is capable of achieving an impressive 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 200-mph. The sporty coupe has a large spoiler on its tail end that ensures proper aerodynamics, and powerful tailpipes that create one of the best sounding exhaust notes of any modern production car, highlighting the F-Type SVR’s artistic soul.
To highlight this note, Jaguar turned to both science and art, assembling a set of speakers, plates, millions of tiny seeds and the car in its Anechoic Chamber in Gaydon, England. The “Art of Sound” Cymatics project used the sound from the F-Type SVR piped through the speakers to the large plates above them, while seeds on the plates danced to the frequency produced by the sports coupe, creating what Jaguar calls “sonic art.”
We initially reported on the F-Type SVR writing, “The whole automotive world is a blur with the new exciting prototypes being released at the Geneva International Motor Show. One of the most exciting previews is for the 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR. This new Jaguar is the fastest Jaguar ever built for series production reaching 200 mph. Part of this speed comes from the brand-new inconel titanium exhaust system that will make the engine really roar to life while lowering the overall body weight by about 55-110 mph. The car can reach an amazing 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and should be available for purchase this summer.”
